Valerie is a contemporary Irish hand weaver who graduated from Coventry University in 2001 with a BA Hon’s in Craft Design.

Valerie moved home to Donegal in 2006 with her husband and children. After taking time out to raise her family, Valerie seized the opportunity to get back into her passion of hand weaving.

 She weaves her fabric on 2 different types of weaving looms. Her floor loom is a Leclerc jack fly shuttle loom with 4 shafts. Along with an 8 shaft Ashford table loom.

Valerie’s products are made with only Irish yarns and fabrics. Her hand-woven pieces, are created using wool from Donegal yarns in Kilcar, her tote bags & purses are comprised of Mc Nutt’s tweeds and Baird Mc Nutt’s 100% Irish linen.

Valerie’s designs are a combination of beautiful, sustainable design and commercial practicality. Her bags are designed, sourced and handmade by herself in Co, Donegal, Ireland.
